Presentation at the State of Black Health on junk food marketing to children of color

BMSG’s Laura Nixon presented in a session on healthy food access for communities of color at the State of Black Health conference in Atlanta, Georgia. In this session, Laura discussed junk food and sugary drink targeted marketing — the practice in which food and beverage companies target kids of color with ads for junk food and soda — which is compromising the health of young African Americans.
