BMSG presented three posters as part of the 2019 gathering of the American Public Health Association. During the poster sessions, our researchers highlighted findings from news analyses on cannabis legislation, police violence, and housing instability, noting how these issues are portrayed, whether journalists are making links to health and equity clear, implications for public health practitioners, and recommendations for shifting these narratives in ways that better support racial equity and health.
