Introduction to media advocacy and strategic communication with Prevention Institute

In this two-part training for the Prevention Institute’s Built Environment Advocacy Fund grantees, BMSG staff covered the fundamentals of media advocacy and strategic communication, including crafting an overall strategic that informs the development of concise, compelling messaging about the built environment in Los Angeles, California. Participants also learned about media strategy (deciding how to best reach your target, and when media would best impact the decision-making process) and practiced message delivery.
