Communicating about COVID: A conversation with reporters
Date: November 09, 2021
Berkeley Media Studies Group, in partnership with the Together Toward Health Initiative, hosted a panel event featuring three California reporters from national, radio, and ethnic media outlets. Event participants were TTH grantees, health department staff, and other public health advocates. Panelists Anh Do, a staff writer at the Los Angeles Times, Nadia Lopez, a Latino communities reporter at The Fresno Bee, and Maria Eraña, director of broadcasting at Radio Bilingüe, gave participants invaluable tips and insight for advocates hoping to harness the power of the news to influence systems-level change.
