Effective public health communication during the COVID-19 pandemic

The COVID-19 pandemic shifted the ways public health professionals do health education and communication, both in terms of who is creating messages and how those messages are disseminated. To that end, BMSG’s Katherine Schaff moderated a panel on Feb. 10 at the California Pan-Ethnic Health Network (CPEHN) conference “Voices for Change: Revolutionizing Health Equity.” The event included communicators, activists, and drivers of community change who are engaged in critical COVID-19 work across California. Participants included the Mixteco/Indigena Community Organizing Project (MICOP), Vista Community Clinic, API Forward Movement, Youth Leadership Institute.
